Shards of the Shattered

In a world rebuilt from the ruins of a divine war, humanity thrives on the remnants of fallen gods, mysterious Power Shards that grant extraordinary abilities at a dangerous cost.  Long ago, celestial beings waged a cataclysmic battle over the World Seed, a force capable of reshaping reality itself. Their conflict shattered the world, and though civilization has since risen higher than ever, forming vast continents and floating cities. The legacy of that war still lingers. Now, society is governed by the Concord, a powerful global authority that maintains order through its elite Aegis Division, warriors known as Vessels who wield shard-born powers. But peace is fragile. Corrupted Vessels, twisted by darker shards, seek to ignite a Second Shattering and remake existence in their own image. At the center of it all is Kiyoshi Laine, a thrill-seeking young Vessel with a volatile power that pushes his body and mind to their limits. Alongside him are Maria, a disciplined crystal-wielding warrior burdened by her own slow petrification, and Elias, a cunning shapeshifter whose transformations threaten to consume his identity.  Bound together as a Triad Unit, they train in the grand capital of Aetherion, preparing for a war that may decide the fate of the world. Told through Kiyoshi’s vibrant yet introspective voice, Shards of the Shattered is a story of power and consequence, identity and control, and the fragile line between humanity and divinity, where every battle risks not just death, but the loss of oneself.
