The "Awakening" floods the world with Qi. People start manifesting powers, ancient martial arts become real, and mutated beasts roam the suburbs. The MC, Kaz, is a stressed-out history professor who just wants to tend his small garden. He discovers that a simple tomato plant, when watered with Qi-infused water, grows into a "Sunstone Tomato" that boosts his vitality. His weed-pulling becomes a Qi-gathering exercise. He has accidentally stumbled upon the [Heavenly Gardener's Path]. From "Mortal Soil" to "Spirit Soil" to "Verdant Jade Loam." Each tier allows for more powerful plants. He progresses by enriching the soil with Qi, monster cores, and rare minerals. He starts with basic enhancement herbs (Vigor Sprouts, Clarity Mint) and progresses to growing things like "Ironwood Bamboo" for crafting weapons, "Glimmer Moss" for lighting, and eventually "Guardian Treants" and "Screaming Mandrakes" for defense. His own cultivation is tied to his garden. As the garden flourishes, his own body is refined, moving through realms like Foundation, Core Formation, and Nascent Soul—all with a botanical theme (e.g., "The Seed of Power," "The Blossoming Core"). He uses his plants to perform alchemy (healing salves, enhancement pills) and crafting (bamboo armor, gourd-based artifacts). Newly-formed cultivator clans and government agencies try to seize his miraculous garden. Qi-mutated pests and blights threaten to destroy his work. He ventures out for rare seeds, unique water sources, or specific monster cores to upgrade his soil. He figures out who he shares his life-saving produce with and how he protects his peaceful sanctuary from a violent world.
