by Party of 8
The summer’s over, the tourists are gone, and the only thing left behind is a stack of strange reports no one really believes. For the detective, it’s not a big case—just something to look into while he’s back home. A few conversations, a couple of familiar places, and maybe an answer if it’s there. But the more he listens, the more the pattern starts to take shape. The stories line up. The timeline works. The only problem is the answer sounds ridiculous. And it still might be right.
