Three chimes. That’s what Kai heard as he woke in a grave that shouldn’t exist yet. He clawed his way to the surface only to find a frozen world that offered nothing to help him survive. And something has already noticed him. In Thunder Hallows, the silent clock tower tolls. A spark has ignited, beginning a new cycle and creating a new Realm. With it comes a Traveler. For some, it’s hope. For Talis, it’s another failure waiting. He’s found them, helped them, buried most of them. Talis is no hero, no prophet. Neither are Travelers. They’re accidents. Lost souls that slip through broken space and awaken in places shaped by their arrival. Places meant to break them. None of them would be there if Talis had conquered his own Realm. Now, he leads a village of failed Travelers. Kai may be their chance to break the cycle. But something about him is different. Familiar, somehow. Wrong. He doesn’t know what he’s become. Something is burning inside him—a magic that forces knowledge into his mind and allows him to reshape matter. Every use hurts. Every mistake costs. Push too far, and it won’t just kill him. It will erase everything. Then there’s the snail. Unbothered. Impeccable manners. Already composing a eulogy and treating every near-death experience like opening night at the theatre. Kai doesn’t get a script. Only a world that won’t bend, and power that may leave nothing behind if he fails. Welcome, Traveler. Don’t get erased. Bargain Bin Fantasy: Magic in rough packaging.
