In the relatively near future, the first human colony has been founded on a world around a different star. They mine the ore that will build the route home and wait for the Corporation that founded the colony to decide whether or not the colony and their continued existence are viable. The first man who landed there, the first interstellar Pioneer that turned on the vast Terraforming engines before any other colonist landed, has been found. Murdered.
