The mundaneness of the modern world is upheld by various secretive organizations continuously waging an endless war against the forces of darkness, or otherwise less-than-natural phenomena. From ghosts, monsters, and cryptids all the way to the actual forces of hell. All of these things require management in order to uphold the modern, rational, and mundane world. From extermination to mediation, and to conservation, all of these things are utilized to protect those who do not know of the darker side of the world. Unfortunately, just like the mundane world, none of these organizations necessarily cooperate properly; petty feuds, ideological differences, and ambition all get in the way of cooperation, which would make everyone's lives a whole lot easier. Our story meets where technology and the mystical aspects of the world meet, and thus, the best defense possible for mankind. Modified humans, through mechanical, biological, and mystical means, these superhuman soldiers hidden in the shadows of the world keep the worst threats at bay, but once again, all of the different organizations protecting humanity have differing methods to create these soldiers, and have differing philosophies on how to utilize and handle them. The international organization known as Humanity United for Neutralizing Threats (HUNT) uses the method of creating squads of these supernatural soldiers, disguising them as different professions that travel across the world, being led by a handler who works as the boss of whatever profession chosen by the organization. This is the story of an entirely mundane man, Codenamed Catfish, due to his being entirely not what anyone would expect from a clandestine organization, and his journey on his assignment, where he has to wrangle a gaggle of rather eccentric superhumans.
