The underwater world is more mysterious than anything humanity has ever known. For the islands of the Three Earthly Kingdoms, it is also far deadlier than fascinating. Nyra Blackwell, captain of a northern sea-guard squad, has spent years hunting the creatures beneath the waves. Raised on stories of the Golden Ages — when humans ruled the oceans freely — she swore to reclaim the waters by killing every merfolk she can find. But after her entire squad disappears during a routine investigation, Nyra is forced to confront horrors lurking beneath the sea… and truths humanity may have buried long ago. Because water does not belong to mankind. And when angered, it does not forgive. Content Warning: violence, gore, body horror, death, war themes, alcohol use
