One Unqualified Candidate. One Lucky Coin. One Demanding Billionare. Maya is broke, desperate, and drowning in the grey fog of Melbourne. When a dying man presses a strange, Chinese coin into her palm, her luck begins to finally change.. She walks into the 50th floor of a Swanston Street skyscraper in a thrifted suit and a worn trench coat, expecting a scammy interview for solar panels. Instead, she finds herself face-to-face with Adrian Chen, also known as the "Wolf" of Swanston St. He’s a man who hasn't known a human touch in a decade, and he thinks he’s just hired the perfect Executive Assistant. He has no idea he’s invited an imposter into his inner sanctum. Maya is 100% unqualified, fueled by a coin that siphons fortune from those around her. As the stolen luck burns a hole in her pocket, she must navigate as in imposter in a corporate world where the stakes are high. In the cold rain of Melbourne, the tension is rising, her toxic past is calling, and the Wolf is starting to smell a lie. How long can she siphon luck from those around her, before it all turns to disaster? What to Expect: The Magic: A unique "Luck-Stealing" system grounded in Urban Fantasy. The Setting: Gritty, atmospheric Melbourne Noir (CBD, Flinders St, Swanston St, Richmond). The Vibe: Slow-burn tension, Grumpy x Gritty, K-Drama pacing. Not a typical romance story! Frequency: 1-3 Chapters Updated Weekly. Join Maya as she plays a high-stakes game of "Fake it 'til you make it" in a city where luck is the only currency.
