Once, a young scientist admired dragons—a beautiful, impossible dream. Then one day, she found herself hatching from a dragon’s egg. Now she is the weakest hatchling in a stranger’s clutch, locked inside a dark cave among creatures for whom such a life has been natural since birth. She has to grow used to a new body, make sense of strange instincts, and learn to survive in a world that, only yesterday, felt like pure fantasy. But the more closely she looks around, the clearer she understands: her new life is far more complicated than just a childhood dream come true.
