Noah Griffin's qualifications: he makes a great Italian sub, he can fold a wrap many different ways, and he knows that pickle juice works as invisible ink. None of that should matter in the world of superheroes. But when his mother becomes the sole survivor of an unknown serial killer, Noah's search for answers draws the attention of two very different people: the Nightress, Liberton's most feared vigilante, and Theodore Holt, a billionaire who used to be the superhero Wolfheart. Holt has an alien suit that bonds only with the pure of heart. It rejected every candidate for eight years. It didn't reject Noah. Now a guy from a sandwich shop is wearing the most powerful suit in Liberton, chasing a killer counting down to midnight, and discovering that the world of heroes is far more dangerous than anyone on the ground floor ever knew.
