Of Souls and Stars: Extricate

Interstellar travel is important, yet difficult when 'Faster Then Light' is impossible. To travel, humanity now relies on the 'Cosmic Hall', a dimension of shifting worlds accessed through gateways.  In one world, called 'Garden', there was an accident at an excavation site. Someone has been trapped, so a small team is deployed to rescue them.  Of all the worlds in the Cosmic Hall, Garden is considered one of the safest. There is nothing to fear here. The team has only to complete their simple mission and return home.  Yet, despite no evidence, no one can shake the feeling that something is very wrong.
