Brett Brizzle and the 98th Level

This Short Story will appeal to people who wish to read a  kind of  'The Monsters Know What They’re Doing' Mashedup with a Tower Climbing Dungeon Crawl battle. This is prequel (short story) to a novel I'm working on. It's a means to get me used to the Royal Road User Interface and 'ways', and establish my original characters and specific setting. Apologies about the 'cover illustration'. The following novel will have better! The protagonist 'Brett Brizzle' is about to begin the 98th level of a 99 level 'tower'/dungeon. Success gets him out of the wastelands, and gains him citizenship in a city that has all the safety and comfort anyone could wish.  Despite the disclaimer below everything doesn't hold-fast to D&D 5th+ edition rules and abilities - but is heavily influenced by  'D&D'.
