Luke Sauvage wasn’t summoned to another world. He found a door, and it opens both ways. On Earth, Luke is sixteen, broke, and headed toward a fairly ordinary future. Beyond the door lies Osteria. His first discovery there is not a kingdom, a princess, or a convenient tutorial town. It is wilderness, monsters, a half-forgotten stronghold, and a strange silver sphere that seems to have decided he belongs to it. Osteria runs on something close to the bones of an old-school class-based RPG: levels, attributes, skills, Armor Class, specialization paths and Classes. But Classes are not something everyone gets. Most people live their entire lives without one. Even a common Class is enough to set someone apart. And you cannot simply choose yours. The System has to recognize what you have become. Luke survives. Hunts. Explores. Learns the terrain. Follows tracks. Finds forgotten roads and places that have been abandoned long enough for monsters to claim them. Eventually, the System recognizes him as a Ranger. Not merely an archer, but a rare kind of autonomous scout and hunter: a Class built around reconnaissance, tracking, hostile terrain, ambushes, mobility, and choosing where a fight happens before the enemy realizes there was a choice. For a while, that is enough. A stronghold to understand. Territory to explore. Monsters to hunt. A System whose rules are far less simple than they first appear. But Osteria is larger than the wilderness around Luke. Humanity has been losing ground for centuries. Roads end where settlements once stood. Fortifications have been abandoned. Guilds, soldiers, merchants and nobles all have their own reasons for caring about who controls what remains. And an unaffiliated young Ranger who appeared from nowhere is not the sort of thing that stays unnoticed forever. Everything Luke earns in Osteria follows him back to Earth. The levels. The attributes. The abilities. The door still opens both ways. And Luke has barely begun to discover what lies on either side of it. Dual-world LitRPG / Progression Fantasy with old-school RPG DNA, an original Recognition-based Class system, true Ranger-style scouting and tracking, exploration, tactical combat, survival, deep worldbuilding, gradual base-building, and one increasingly opinionated silver companion.
