📖 Chapter 1: The Boy With No Skill In the Kingdom of Virel, everyone awakened with something. A skill. A blessing. A purpose. Riven awakened with nothing. The Awakening Hall was silent. The crystal still glowed faintly in front of him, but its light did not respond. No reaction. No message. No voice. The examiner frowned. “…Step back.” Whispers spread instantly. “No skill?” “That’s impossible…” “Even animals awaken something…” Riven stepped away slowly. His hands were cold. Not from fear. From confirmation. He already knew. He had always known. Outside the hall, people celebrated their awakenings. Fire sparks. Shield arts. Basic healing. Even weak skills were praised. Riven walked past them. Unseen. Unwanted. And then— The crystal behind him cracked. A sound no one understood echoed through the hall. Riven stopped. Turned slightly. But no one was looking at him anymore. [ERROR: UNREGISTERED ENTITY DETECTED] The message appeared once. Then vanished. And the world moved on. As if nothing had happened. But something had. Something had looked back. This story was accidentally published twice . Press the link to read the main story .https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/165581/the-skill-theif-who-should-not-exist
