The world of Anexia is rotting. The ever pervasive Mist continues to spread, not content until the entire world is under its control. The last Great Kingdom of Mutatio stands as humanity's final bastion. But even here, rot festers from within. When an accident tears them apart, Raorka along with his mother Zoe and father Jack, are scattered across this dying world. Each carrying a power, an intrinsic magik, they barely understand. Each with a long way to fall before they can rise. In the Domed City, Raorka hears whispers of the cursed dragon in the woods, older than human civilization itself, and the exiled Witch of the Woods who teaches magik. He must confront both if he is to understand his water magik. Further east, Jack is embroiled in the rebellion in Odania, where red cloaked warriors called the Chianti Hunters wage a generations old war against the tyrant Mayor - though their cause is far from noble. To the south, Zoe awakens near the abandoned Church of Laments, where the cries of persecuted nuns echo, praying for the return of their missing Goddess and her blessings. But the deeper she searches for answers, the more she realizes that the rot in the world has roots far older than anyone realizes. Now they journey separately, desperate to reunite with each other amidst the chaos of a dying world. If they ever find each other again, will there be anything left of the family they once were?
