The Many Doors of House of Figs - The Barista and the Reporter

These stories follow the events of the main body of work, House of Figs and the fictional and non fictional lives that were impacted by the climax in the Observatory, when their worlds were nearly stripped bare. Rafael was a vampire. WAS. Now he's human and has been for nearly seven years. Sometimes it feels like he was never a vampire, draining blood from humans to satiate his depraved cravings. Sometimes it feels like only yesterday. Rafael knew adjusting to being human one more after 500 years wouldn't be simple...but did it have to be so hard? Especially when everyone around him is moving on with their lives and he feels stuck, still...stagnate...and alarmingly self conscious when a red headed, coffee drinking, motorbike riding reporter waltzes into House of Figs.
