Twelve-year-old Musashi thinks he’s a genius. He’s not. Instead of a legendary sword, he gets a loud-mouthed wooden staff that claims it once toppled kings, trained the greatest mage in history, and is frankly embarrassed to be here. It’s now scratching Musashi’s back in a barn. It is not happy about this. Neither is Musashi. But he’s got clan wars to survive, a cultivation technique that might actually be broken, and zero qualified adults anywhere near him. If you grew up on Naruto grinding from the bottom and you’ve burned through Cradle and everything Will Wight has written, then this is your next read.
