Theo's mom always told him he was special. He just had to wait for it. Most kids start dreaming at nine. Theo had to wait until he was thirteen — and even then, only because his mom kept secretly slipping him the dream pills she wasn't supposed to. Now he's an intern at Nios, the all-powerful company that quietly runs the world by working inside people's dreams. He's behind. His blocking grade is a disaster.
