After a live performance with his high school band, a teenage drummer named Shun is suddenly transported to another world. That world is Beatland, where strength is determined by rhythm. In a place where only those who can control sound are able to fight, Shun has yet to gain confidence in his own drumming. Even so, as he meets new companions and survives repeated monster attacks, he gradually begins to discover his own rhythm through battle. This is the story of a boy burdened with doubt, who faces music head-on and grows into a true drummer.
