With just enough skill to enroll in the arcane academy, but unable to afford the tuition, Aeris Eldien is a novice arcanist who takes on an apprenticeship at the local adventurers guild of Skyhelm, a city of magic and technological progress floating through the clouds. While turning in her most important assignment yet, Aeris becomes targeted by the immortal and relentless Eternians. These elven invaders will stop at nothing to eliminate magic anomalies that could threaten their rule. Working for the Eternians is a sorceress with an affinity for fire and the determination to catch Aeris. In a desperate escape, Aeris performs an arcane ritual that leads her to the ravaged fairytale world below. On her journey she learns of the suffering caused by the Eternians and contends with the dark witch hot on her trail.
