A man dies in a traffic accident and wakes up on wet concrete in Gotham City. He has no memory of how he got there, no connections, and no plan. What he does have is a power he never wanted: when he touches anyone with metahuman abilities, he copies their power for good. Strength. Fire. Speed. The Canary Cry. He collects twelve abilities, each one adding up to something he can't quite name yet.But DC's Inheritor is not really a story about powers. It's about a man who decides the most important work he can do is right here, in one neighborhood, with real people, over real time. He starts a legal clinic. He goes to Friday meetings. He helps with a greenhouse. He plants a tree in an empty lot, connecting it to hundreds of miles of living network along the Eastern Seaboard. This is a story about what patience and consistency can build, and about the relationships with Pamela Isley, Kara Zor-El, Clark Kent, Barry Allen, Diana, and many others that grow into something lasting, beyond any one person's time. One city. One man is slowly learning his purpose.
