In a world where humanity once stood at the top of the food chain, that dominance has begun to crumble. Zack was just an ordinary boy-until the night everything was taken from him. When a mysterious and terrifying vampire known as Decalidon descends upon his home, Zack witnesses the brutal loss of his mother and the true horror lurking within the shadows. But instead of dying like he should have... he survives. Barely. Saved by Kael Veyron, an elite member of the Shadow Requiem Organization-a secret force tasked with hunting down supernatural threats-Zack is pulled into a hidden war between humans and vampires.
