The continent of Urop is built on mountains of corpses. Amongst every city, every village, every road that merchants travel and knights patrol, lie the ruins of something older. Something no historian or archeologist has fully explained. Something that does not look quite right when you examine it closely enough. Most adventurers enter the ruins for treasure. Ernold Yeoman enters them for answers. At sixteen, with a farmer's background and a guild rank that earns him no respect, Ernold has noticed things in the ruins that veteran adventurers walk past without seeing. Strange writings in languages nobody recognizes. Fossils wearing materials no craftsman can identify. Structures built with precision that should be impossible. The deeper he goes, the more wrong everything becomes. And the more wrong everything becomes, the more certain Ernold is that the ruins are not the remains of a forgotten civilization. They are a warning. What To Expect: -A slow burn mystery that rewards attentive readers -Grimdark tone with genuine consequence and loss -No stat screens or LitRPG mechanics, progression through competence and experience -Characters with distinct personalities rather than a solo power fantasy -A world that is not what it appears to be on the surface -A long form narrative planned across multiple story arcs Content warning: This story contains graphic violence, character death, and mature themes consistent with the grimdark genre. All violence is fictional and serves narrative purpose.
