Alicia Vane is an elite bureaucrat with a rising career—until she’s assigned to the most tedious post imaginable: Glenholt, a barren frontier. Her mission? To monitor Leonard Cross, the world’s strongest Hero turned Lord, whom the Kingdom still fears. Expectations: A tense standoff with a dangerous legend.Reality: On her first day, she finds the "Strongest Man" covered in mud, obsessively fixing a waterway. "Can you help?" he asks."…I’ll manage." she sighs. To protect this fragile peace, she picks up her pen to write her daily report: Remarks: No issues. All is well.
