This is a fan-made work set in the universe of Skullgirls. All original characters and settings from Skullgirls belong to their respective creators. This story is written purely for non-commercial fan enjoyment and interpretation. New Meridian does not remember peace—it only remembers what it cost. After the fall of the Skullheart and the end of the Skullgirl threat, the city continues to rot under its own survival. The Black Egrets maintain order in name only, the old powers quietly reshape themselves in the shadows, and the streets fill with people trying not to become part of history. In the middle of it all, a girl wakes up with no memory of who she is. Filia does not know what she lost—only that something inside her is wrong, and something inside her is watching. Noben is not a hero, nor does he pretend to be. A man shaped by systems that no longer exist in the same form, he moves through New Meridian like an observer who never agreed to stay involved. But when he encounters Filia in the abandoned transit lines of the city, patterns begin to form that he cannot ignore. A girl without a past.A city without closure. And something hidden beneath both of them that refuses to stay buried. As the remnants of old powers begin to stir again—some human, some not—Noben and Filia are drawn into a slow unraveling of New Meridian’s fragile peace, where survival is not guaranteed, and identity is something that can be taken without warning.
