Azoth no Shin: Script Overdrive

Shin Hakashita is an ordinary-looking teenager trapped between two conflicting realities—one where logic governs everything, and another where the world behaves like an unstable script being constantly rewritten. With emotionless eyes that faintly glow blue-purple, Shin begins to notice “errors” in reality itself: time loops, broken cause-and-effect, and people acting like they are following unseen dialogue. As these distortions grow stronger, Shin discovers he is not just a witness to the collapsing worlds—he is directly tied to them. A hidden system known as Script Overdrive activates within him, allowing him to perceive and manipulate the “code” of reality, but every change comes with consequences that destabilize both worlds further. Alongside classmates who each carry their own hidden anomalies, Shin is pulled into conflicts where truth, identity, and existence itself begin to blur. As reality fragments, Shin must uncover who is writing the script—and whether he is the author, a character, or simply a mistake in the system. The story follows his descent into understanding the nature of existence, where survival means rewriting reality itself, even if it means losing what makes him human
