Beginner Difficulty (Progression-Fantasy/LitRPG/Isekai)
by Hadrian Spatfyre
Portal Fantasy / IsekaiComedySlice of LifeAdventureDramaFantasyRomance SubplotLitRPGPortal Fantasy / IsekaiProgressionComedySlice of Life Marco used to think getting isekai'd would lead to phenomenal cosmic power. Instead, he's stuck with two fellow idiots and a missing persons report.
When the weird girl with a crush on him asks Marco Villanueva to roleplay a magic ritual with her after school instead of doing his MMO dailies, getting actually sent to a fantasy world was the last thing he expected. Now, he and his two least-responsible classmates get to navigate video game Classes and Quests and Level Up notifications instead of slaving away at college applications.
But to complicate matters, Erika, the girl who started this whole mess with a questionable grimoire she bought off the internet, is missing.
It's up to Marco to wrangle his new Party and find her before a nebulous conspiracy comes for them all. There's Jake, the loudmouthed jock-turned-Bard. Chloe, the insecure Fighter. Then there's Marco himself - a Wizard who can't even read the stupid fantasy language every spellbook seems to be written in.
They're Level 1 and the biggest idiots in town - but they're Marco's idiots and he wouldn't have it any other way. Join Marco and his friends for the adventure of their lives as they try to become guildmembers, investigate dark gods, and maybe, just maybe, figure out where their missing friend's gone.
Beginner Difficulty: The Biggest Idiots in Town are Level One.
WHAT TO EXPECT!
- Weak to strong MCs gradually learning their strengths
- A Class-based system influenced by DnD 5E
- Mystery and intrigue with clues laden within chapters
- Self-aware humor and loveable morons
- Training arcs! Leveling up! Quests!
- Slow-burn, but not too slow!
- and cute Elves! (don't tell anyone about that, though)
Basically, a Konosuba-style story with actual dumb teens.
