2045. Humanity's final exam has arrived — a test of intelligence, responsibility, and financial solvency. From the depths of the galaxy comes an official letter: Earth has been classified as a young civilization, Level 0.7, and must pay its overdue taxes for the very act of existing. The bill: eight billion credits. Deadline: twelve months. Thus begins the great comedy of cosmic scale — The Ministry of Absurd: Galactic Tax Inspectorate — a novel about the collision of galactic bureaucracy with human logic. It will make you laugh until you cry, and shudder with recognition. Here, philosophy turns into bookkeeping. Officials argue with gods about the price of consciousness. The Ministry of Absurd is a sharp, brilliantly ironic portrait of our civilization — one that reached for the stars… but somehow forgot that Earth might have other owners. --- Author's Notes: This book contains no instructions for evading galactic taxes. At best, it offers guidance on evading common sense. No Level 0.7 civilization was officially fined during the creation of this book. So far.
