The Book has been described as — "Solo-Leveling But with Duke Nukem as the main character" (actual review) This is the story of the man who had to bleed to become the Legend. In the span of three minutes, the sky uninstalled itself, a massive purple gorilla in knock-off Gucci sunglasses elbow-dropped a dragon through the roof of his warehouse, and reality was re-rendered in fire and discordant code. Daxos was a thirty-seven-year-old veteran and warehouse supervisor. To him, the world was background static — everything except his son, the one beacon of reality that had any purpose left in his life. Now he's trapped in a dying reality, a world of broken RPG logic where "Unique-Rare" gear is forged from necrotic bone and spite. But the System made a catastrophic tactical error: it took his son, Jack. Daxos isn't your typical chosen hero. He's an NCO with a logistics-mapped brain and a Pathological Demand Avoidance that makes him violently reject arbitrary authority. Armed with a hijacked CLI access node and a "Support Mage" class he's determined to weaponize, Daxos doesn't want to play the game — he wants to exploit the syntax, map the bottlenecks, and out-code the System itself. He isn't leveling for glory. He's leveling for extraction. And God help whatever asshole is standing between him and his son, because he won't. Unless they need help dying. He'll help with that.
