The lands of the Great Duke of Raith have been left scarred and desolate after years of endless wars. Every adventuring and mercenary company marched to fight. For glory. For gold. All but one. Safe Return Company. Led by Riven mac Hail, the company refused the wars that swallowed countless lives. Riven has seen enough death to last a lifetime, and he has no intention of feeding his company to another Great Duke’s ambition. But peace is not something the Great Duke of Raith is willing to allow. One day, Riven receives a summons. One he cannot refuse. Enter an abandoned mine deep within Raith’s lands. What waits below is unknown. What happens if he refuses is not. Death. Forced into the darkness, his company descends into the unknown. Some men become legends. Some become monsters. Some become Death itself.
