KINDLING [A Dungeon-Crawler LitRPG, Cozy?, Found-Ghost-Family]

Eli mopped floors at a children's hospital. He was good at it. Then the sky turned green, the floor fell out from under him, and he woke up in an alien stone corridor holding cleaning supplies and a notification that informed him that he was non-viable. The Syndicate has harvested Earth for the Crucible, a floor-by-floor combat spectacle broadcast to fourteen billion viewers across the galaxy. Seven million humans, sorted into classes and dropped into the deep end. [CLASS ASSIGNED: KINDLER (RANK: F)]Bring back the souls of the dead. They do not have to help you. They are not always grateful. Kindled spirits can't lift a cup. Can't throw a punch. Can't stand between him and anything that wants him dead. That's why the class is rated F. Eli has spent his life around people who couldn't fight for themselves. He knows none of them were worthless. And writing them off might be the Syndicate's biggest mistake. The galaxy underestimated what a man with a mop and a habit of refusing to leave anyone behind might build out of everything they threw away. A middle-management ghost raccoon with strong opinions about filing. A golden retriever named Biscuit. A teenager nobody else wanted to protect. One by one, the Crucible's discarded souls fall in behind a janitor who wasn't supposed to survive Floor One. A progression LitRPG about found family, terrible jokes, and the slow construction of something the Syndicate can't classify, one rescued spirit at a time. Posting chapters daily.
