The System was never meant to save anyone. 714, Hispania. The Visigothic kingdom is collapsing. King Rodrigo sits on a stolen throne. Nobles betray each other. The old Roman System—corrupted by heresy and centuries of bad patches—finally crashes. Now it reboots. Broken. Cruel. Hungry. Alderico is a stableman in Toledo. He shovels dung and talks to horses. His only ability is [Horse Eye], which lets him see equine stats and manure quality. He is nobody. Then the royal stallion turns on King Rodrigo. Alderico warns the court. No one listens. The horse rears. The king dies in the mud. Alderico is arrested for witchcraft. In the dungeon, as floodwaters rise, the System offers him a hidden class: [STIGMATIZED OF TOLEDO] [Ability Unlocked: EYES OF THE FALL] [You can now see the death date and cause of death of every living human] Alderico looks at his jailer. July 19, 711. Killed in battle. The guards? Same date. Almost everyone in Toledo shares the same fate—except the Jews in the Arrabalde and a handful of newly arrived Berber slaves. Then Alderico understands: The invasion has already begun. The System is only showing the countdown. And he is the only man in Hispania who can see it coming. --- What to expect: • Historical Grimdark LitRPG • No mages or miracle cures • The System as antagonist • Supernatural horror in 8th-century Iberia • A protagonist who sees everyone’s death date • Hidden classes tied to sin, heresy, and mutilation • The Battle of Guadalete as a wall of death notifications • Covadonga as a System dead zone • No harem. No romance. Only hunger, disease, and collapse • First-person narration
