ANIMILIA — Synopsis When an unexplained explosion tears through a modern city, it doesn't just destroy — it rewrites. Most people die. Some lose their humanity entirely, becoming flesh-hungry, filmed-eyed creatures that swarm the ruins in relentless, mindless packs. And a rare few are transformed into something in between: humans fused with animal DNA, feared by the living and hunted by the powerful. Sixteen-year-old Damian crawls out from under the rubble of a collapsed building — his parents dead beneath the debris — and discovers that something inside him has fundamentally changed. Drillia survives the disaster locked inside a pet store, watching her family become something she no longer recognizes. When the two find each other in the wreckage, they are strangers held together by nothing but circumstance and the will to survive. Over the course of a year spent running, fighting, and learning the shape of what they've become, they grow into something harder and sharper than the teenagers they were. They don't fully understand their abilities. They don't belong to any faction. They are not heroes. But the city around them is organizing — into alliances, cults, and hunter squads — and the grey space they occupy is getting smaller. ANIMILIA is a post-apocalyptic survival story about two people who chose each other when the world offered nothing else, and what that choice costs them as everything around them demands they pick a side.
