"Give people equal power, and observe them snatch the shares of other!"In a world where supernatural power is inherited through bloodlines, the powerless are erased before they are ever heard. Luka was born into the lowest of thirty-nine clans—the Deadwood—a people believed to possess nothing… and worth even less. For generations, they endured. Silently. But when a forbidden truth begins to surface, everything changes. The powerless are no longer powerless. And the moment they begin to rise…they don’t rise as one. Some seek revenge. Some seek dominance. And some… only wish to survive. Because the world they lived in was never truly just—only stable. Now, that stability is breaking. Caught in the middle of it all, Luka watches his dream of changing fate twist into something far more dangerous than he ever imagined. Because in a world ruled by power,it’s not just about who has it— it’s about what it turns people into. And when power becomes a tool of oppression…it doesn’t just destroy the world— it destroys people from within.
