Alex Thompson was nobody special. Twenty-five years old, two dead-end jobs, forty-seven dollars in his checking account, and a talent for being present while his life happened around him. When a rainy afternoon in a dying Florida town leads him to a dusty antique shop and a brass lamp on the bottom shelf, he makes three wishes that change everything — and none of them were the right ones. He wakes up naked in a field outside Nighthaven, a port city on the edge of a kingdom he's never heard of, with the body of a god and the fighting ability of a man who has never needed one. The world of Zorathia is beautiful and brutal in equal measure — magic pulses through ancient ley lines beneath the cobblestones, monster races walk the streets with no legal protections, and slavers move through the shadows like water. The woman who finds him is Mirka — an Oni warrior, six and a half feet of controlled fury and sixty years of self-imposed exile. She has survived by trusting no one. She has no intention of changing that. She changes it anyway. The Crimson Shield follows Alex's first two months in Zorathia: learning to fight under a teacher who doesn't believe in encouragement, building a name in a city that doesn't know he exists, and earning — slowly, honestly, at real cost — the trust of a woman who stopped believing she deserved to give it. This is a LitRPG haremlit story with a system, stat progression, and skill trees. It is also a story about what it actually costs to become someone worth knowing — and what it means to be seen completely by another person and have them stay anyway. The world is dark. The hero is genuinely good. The family he's building, one broken person at a time, is worth every scar.
