"They wanted to bind the world shut. She wanted it to stay loose enough to live." Claire Tang is a master of a dying craft: the restoration of ancient, ruined manuscripts. She understands fiber fatigue, pressure gradients, and the memory of paper. But when Julian Vance—a man who audits disappearances for the clandestine Section Three—drops a rusted case of sea-soaked letters on her workbench, Claire realizes that some records are never meant to be mended. In a world where the powerful Thorne family treats human lives as entries in a master ledger, "disposal" isn't just murder—it’s a silent edit of reality itself. From the briny ruins of an ancestral house to a lightless, floating archive, Claire and Julian must navigate a landscape of bone-etched codes and biological anchorage. He was a "live case" stitched into a name; she was the hand that learned to read the damage. Together, they are a wrong seam in a perfect forgery, back-flowing to the source to cancel the Master Scribe before the final stroke lands. What to expect: Hardcore Technical Details: Manuscript restoration meets clinical body horror. New Weird Mystery: A conspiracy where ancient craft and bureaucratic terror collide. Competent Leads: A cold, elite restorer and an "archived" auditor fighting for their existence.
