A boy meant to die. An Emperor seeking eternity. In a universe of five fused layers anchored by a primordial tree, Khaia’s world turned to ash in a single night. He wasn’t the only thing to survive the Imperial massacre; the parasitic necklace around his neck replaced his failing heart, weaving itself into his veins and turning him into a living anomaly. With his family’s blood on his hands and the "Eyes of the Emperor"—the realm’s deadliest assassins—on his trail, Khaia faces a grim choice: perish among the ghosts of his past or forge his agony into a blade. But in the shadowed halls of the Imperial Palace, whispers tell a darker truth: Khaia is not a mere fugitive, but a "Masterpiece" in the making. His pursuer, Draax, does not wish to catch him yet; he waits for the necklace to evolve, watching Khaia’s descent into cold-blooded ruthlessness with a twisted hunger. As Khaia sheds his humanity to climb the layers of power, he must decide: Is he the savior of this broken world, or its next absolute tyrant? "He who was denied death shall be the one to seize the throne."
