General Alex's Sweetheart

When a rift in space-time opens, Earth is overrun by regenerative and malevolent, extraterrestrial creatures  immune to every weapon in the human arsenal, turning Earth into a slaughterhouse. They are nearly indestructible, possessing a regenerative ability that makes them immune to conventional bullets and explosives. As the siege tightens, Alex uncovers a soul-shattering truth that splits his world in halves.  To save the human race, Alex must execute the one order he can’t stomach, which is destroying the only one he swore to protect.
