Reaping of Echoed Souls

A young-humanoid creature called a Rhuddrian-girl, Dete’Vela (or Kas), age 15, comes of age to become an adult, where adults gain soul siblings, giant creatures who said all adults in her society with survival, and who share minds and personalities with their ‘humanoid’ version- along with a deep emotional connection. Her and her soulmate-Ksio'Tira- are trying to figure out their lives, her manipulative mother, when she comes across strange new creatures on their planet. She is confronted with unexpected new allies- a genius, Vela and Tira's missing piece-  and new dangers. Things that her tribes, or even any Rhuddrian has faced before. As she plunges into a world of advanced human technology, she must navigate a way to discover why the humans came from the stars to them... On the bridge of something she didn't understand: mind control. The odd creature, Ottilie, a human, is trying to protect his scientist sister, who came to planet Century B for one reason; discover and learn about any intelligent creatures. But as Ottilie tries to keep his crew alive in the shifting, shattered world full of predators, he realizes the real reason his crew is there. A much, much, darker reason. As he tries to stop his government from hurting his new alien friends, he has to choose, the humans victory in mind control, gaining his sister and him endless richess, or the compassionate and ingenious Rhuddrians?
