Dark World

I don't remember how I came to be here. It doesn't matter anymore. I wake on an endless black plain, in a world without light. There is no day, no night. Only silence. And the weight of something vast watching from above. I don't know my name. I don't know where this is. I don't even know what I am. I only know I have been brought here to stand trial. Apart from me, only one other being exists in this world. The Guardian. Who will not help me. Who cannot let me leave. Who knows what I am better than I do. And I am beginning to suspect he is not the thing I should fear most in the Dark World. Dark World is not a story about saving the world. It is a story about a man who has lost his, and about what he is willing to do to get it back. A slow descent into memory, identity, and the quiet horror of becoming something you cannot yet name.
