Blood is always spilled under the Blood Moon.  The king, Aefel-son-Fel is dead. He was slain by Raesery-son-Fel, his own son. The kingdom of Ael has fractured into alliances, all with their own secret agendas. Raesery, the Usurper who killed his own father, seeks to conquer and reunite the kingdom. Donal, the son of a soldier, embarks on a quest for revenge against Raesery after his men raid his village. Kai’tal, a khahman, the thrall species of Ael, plots an uprising against his master.
