Rise of the Templar

"Deus Vult!" A new crusade will be born, but in a land unlike any other. Men and beast alike will take up the call, to move against monsters of devilish proportions. Get ready for a story, filled with knights, wielding holy weapons wreathed in flames as they charge head first into hordes of unending nightmares.    In the Realm of Evangelon, the lands have been in a constant torment of war since the birth of civilization. Riddled with Greedy Empires, backward Kingdoms, Barbaric tribes and Dens filled with savage monsters. One could barely travel ten steps without getting into a fight for their life. Although the war for resources, old grudges and new has never stopped between any of them, they all hold one common enemy above each other. The endless Demonic Hordes of the Abyss. For when they first appeared and swept over the lands, old and new grudges were set aside as all humanoids joined together to fight desperately for the survival of the very realm they call home. For centuries the realm had been bathed in blood and battle and when it appeared the end was near, the first Ascension Pathstone was found. With this new found strength, powered by absorbing the Abyssal energy of the Demonic horde. The war against the abyss was pushed back by a new breed of warrior, named Pather. Able to wield magics and create weapons of immense power, they fought the horde tooth and nail until the Demons had now choice but to return to the Abyss or hide in the dark recess of the world. With new Empires carved upon the ruins of old and Demons being simply another monster needing quelling, a new world was born, based around the blood of the first Pathers who named themselves Gods and discovery of new Path stones.  However, after centuries of ease, the Realm will once again tremble under the claws and hooves of the Demonic Horde. At the start of this new era, a young man, living in the bottom rung of society, will find out that his world had not been abandoned, as is told by the new self claimed Gods, but had simply been waiting for a chance to light a spark. A spark so bright it will light the darkness and sweep through the world. Accompanied by the soul of a battle worn knight from another time and place, the young man will have to raise his sword in defence of the light as darkness encroaches of blackened wings.  Rise of the Templar incorporates both Soft Litrpg mechanics and cultivation. It is a mix of grim dark fantasy and real world Medieval aesthetics.
