Ren is an ordinary college student who falls asleep at his desk after a long night, only to wake up in a blank white void standing before a furious goddess — one who is absolutely convinced he spent the night writing a scathing ten-page review of her life's work, the hit RPG Ironveil Chronicles. There's just one problem. It wasn't him. It was his little sister. By the time the goddess figures out her mistake, she's already burned through nearly all her divine power dragging his soul across worlds. She can't send him back — not for years. As compensation she offers him a system and a single EX skill before going completely offline, leaving him stranded inside the very game his sister called "digital garbage." The character he's been dropped into is Rem Ashford — a silver-haired noble villain, despised by the student body, destined to be humiliated, broken, and eventually executed by the game's hero leo , a talentless commoner whose rise to power Ren watched his sister playthrough a dozen times. Ren knows every plot beat. Every hidden dungeon. Every character's weakness. Every death flag attached to his new name. Armed with that knowledge and a single deceptively simple EX skill — Adaptation, an ability that permanently rewires his body and soul to overcome anything that threatens him — Ren has no intention of playing his scripted role. No villain arc. No execution. No dying as a footnote in someone else's story. But surviving is harder than knowing the script. Rem Ashford starts with pathetic mana, a school full of enemies, a father with terrifying expectations, and a hero whose growth rate is anything but normal. Every day Ren spends at Ironveil Academy the story inches closer to the moments where the villain is supposed to fall. The game always ends the same way. Ren intends to be the first exception
