Lena Zurak was born to the Light. She just can’t seem to use it. At one hundred and thirty-five, Lena is the embarrassment of her academy, too weak at magic to shape stone, too stubborn to give up, and far better with a bow than any proper disciple of Solana is supposed to be. One more failure, and she becomes proof that her father’s legacy ends with her. Then men start disappearing in the west. The Tahlari tribes are being hunted. A dark cult is twisting captives into something monstrous, and the kingdom of Mt. Fluore is already beginning to crack under the strain. When Lena takes a mission no one expects her to survive, her search for answers pulls her into tribal blood-feuds, ancient grudges, corrupted magic, and a war between Light and shadow that will echo through the wider Dungeon Lords saga. To save the Tahlari, Lena will have to rely on the skills she earned outside the academy, confront the magic she believes has failed her, and survive an enemy turning people into monsters. What to expect: - dark fantasy with a strong female lead - an elven archer protagonist struggling with magic - magic academy opening, followed by a wilderness quest and dark fantasy escalation - no LitRPG, no stat screens, no game system - cults, dangerous magic, monsters, ancient grudges, and tribal politics - sacrifice, legacy, loss, and high emotional stakes Story is complete! Follow Lena on further adventures in Dungeon Lords: The Lost Disciple, and Dungeon Lords: The Orb and the Oracle on Amazon.
