Charity Jester knew discrimination all her life. How could she not, in faithful Aquamarine, when she was a nephilim, a spirit child of mortal woman and spiritual demon? But she never took it lying down. She never accepted that it was her lot in life. The Savior, after all, preached love even for sinners, and she wasn’t even that! Sure, she was purple and had little horns, but she was as faithful—no, more faithful than any member of her congregation. Not alone in this belief, she rallied to the banner of a charismatic nephilim calling for equality. But when push came to shove, the powers that be left the movement that had won her heart without a leader, so she took up the reins.
