The Wicked Son of False Gods

Yera is born with an affliction that makes her poor family the outcasts of the village, and the church insists that Yera will be the downfall of her family. Despite her devotion to chronicling the Holy Family known as the Deificas, Yera knows she'll never be good enough to pull her family out of their poverty.  Until one day, the village receives an announcement that the son of a nobleman from a neighboring city is touring the countryside to find a wife of common birth. Now, Yera knows she must do anything to be chosen. To be given a better life and to help her family. So, she seeks out the only person she knows who can help her -- the wicked son, imprisoned by the Holy Family decades earlier. If she can find him and set him free, perhaps he can do the impossible and heal her affliction in time to seduce the nobleman's son.
