Palimpsest

A vast, LOTR-style fantasy world and powerful women. The gods are dead, but their power still lives. And a courtesan in a harbor city becomes, in a single night, the most dangerous person on the continent — though almost no one, herself included, fully understands why. For years Kaelin has worked at staying invisible and staying alive. She has earned her living serving powerful men and using their desires against them. Then, one night, her fate finally catches her. A vision that touches nearly the whole city will threaten a design three thousand years in the making, and bring her face to face with powers she had never imagined existed. Script magic — woven into nearly everything since the beginning of time — will finally show its true face. A great conspiracy inscribed into the course of history. A legend. Hidden orders. Fallen kingdoms. Secrets that could topple thrones. And powerful women... At the start of this adventure that will change the fate of the realm: a woman alone — though not for very long. This is going to be a long, vast adventure. Each arc will run the length of a full book, and the world I've built will slowly open itself to you. If you love classic fantasy, strong women, and sarcastic characters, come along for the ride. A note: the first five chapters cover the opening incident and Kaelin's escape. After that we meet the rest of the cast, and the adventure properly begins. What to expect: - Multiple points of view - A magic inscribed into living bodies - The political forces underneath everything - A pleasure guild like no other - A three-thousand-year-old legend - A slow-burn romance between women - A world with thousands of years of history that doesn't dump all of it on you at once New chapters every Wednesday and Saturday — no breaks.
