Game of the Gods

It’s 2070 and technology has divided society. Cities thrive with high tech wonders. Those that reject technology settle in isolated towns completely cut off. A man hiding a terrible secret flees with his young daughter, Mila, to a low-tech town south of nowhere, next to nothing. Mila learns early that no one wants to be around a telepath. Her father teaches her to mask her unique abilities, while keeping his past and Mila's real identity hidden. Struggling with a difficult adolescence, Mila stumbles upon an illegal connection to a virtual gaming world where she can be around people without hearing their thoughts. She feels normal for the first time. Desperate to become a pro gamer, she must go to the city to enter the Game of the Gods competition. Which means leaving the safe life her father has trapped her in, and risk whatever horrors he’s hidden her from.
