The Fortress of Light

The Marbles: A Synopsis The Setting and the Science    In the mythical year of "nowhen," the Light Kingdom is besieged by the "photophobic" soldiers of the Dark Kingdom—ruthless killing machines that emerge only at night and are repelled by nothing but natural sunlight. To save his people, King Wanda commissions the Fortress of Light, a titanium stronghold designed by the brilliant Chief Counselor Sa. Using the principles of "Sci-Think" and light dispersion, Sa creates the Marbles Circle, a planetary mechanism that projects a constant, protective white glow across the borders. The Internal Crisis Ages later, the kingdom faces a new threat: political rot from within. On the coronation day of Crown Prince Wanda, the Royal Hall stands empty. Prime Minister Yi has orchestrated a boycott, weaponizing superstitions to brand the Prince a "jinx" whose birth caused the Queen's death and a great famine. Yi publicly questions the Prince’s legitimacy, claiming he is not the true heir. The tension peaks when the Marbles Manual—the sacred text containing the kingdom’s defense secrets—is stolen. Prime Minister Yi reveals he possesses a manual scroll which states that the true king must be a warrior capable of wielding the Seven Marbles within the Marbles Armor, a silvered titanium suit. The Prince is forced into a high-stakes "Confirmation" trial to prove his right to rule. The Hidden Hope Amidst the coup and the looming Dark invasion, a deeper destiny unfolds. The Fortress of Light, once thought invincible, is destined to fall. While the court focuses on the Crown Prince, the kingdom’s true last hope is Tiraya, King Wanda’s illegitimate and overlooked child. Guided by Chief Counselor Sa and General Mu, the "weak" Tiraya must be forged into a "warrior of nightmare." As internal treachery and external shadows converge, she is the only one who can suppress the long-term Dark invasion and reclaim the kingdom from total extinction.
