When Quizi the axex gets accepted into the once "griffin only" acedemy of collective knowledge, he thinks his life is set on a path to fame and fortune. But once he gets to the prestigious college, he's quick to learn that old prejudices run deep and not nearly everyone is accepting of him as his letter would have lead him to believe. Navigating this new chapter of his life, Quizi struggles to make friends but excels at making foes, to the point he is threatened with expulsion. It only gets worse when his path one day crosses with a mysterious grounded griffin living in the Evershade, performing illegal acts of magic, but tempting Quizi with the allure of "true" knowledge.
